Who we are

Abbondo is a content-operations service operated by Mota Media S.L., with its registered office at Calle del Pintor Fortuny 28, e1, 08001 Barcelona, Spain (“Abbondo,” “we,” “us”). For any privacy question, or to exercise your rights, contact us at justin@motaxmedia.com.

What this policy covers

It covers the information we handle through this website and through the Abbondo service we provide to clients. Where we process data that lives inside a client's own accounts (for example their Google Search Console), we act as a data processor on that client's behalf, under the terms of our service agreement.

The data we process

Website visitors.Basic technical data needed to serve and secure the site, such as your request logs. We keep the site deliberately light and do not sell any visitor data.

Enquiries. If you email us or book a call, we process the contact details and message you send, so we can reply and, if it goes further, prepare a proposal.

Client service data.To deliver the service, clients grant us read-only access to their Google Search Console and analytics, and provide their website content and brand information. We read this data to produce the roadmap and the content work. The agent writes to a client's site only within the approval mode that client has configured: per-change approval, or an autopilot mode the client has explicitly enabled and can revoke at any time.

Why we process it, and our lawful basis

We process enquiry data to respond to you (our legitimate interest, and steps toward a contract), and client data to deliver the service you have engaged us for (performance of a contract). Where the law requires consent, such as for any non-essential cookies, we ask for it first.

Third parties who help us run the service

We rely on a small set of trusted providers to operate Abbondo, including cloud hosting and deployment, database hosting, and an AI processing partner used to draft content. These providers process data only on our instructions. A current list of sub-processors is available on request.

International transfers

Some of these providers may process data outside the European Economic Area. Where that happens, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.

How long we keep it

We keep enquiry data for up to twelve months after our last contact with you. Client service data we keep for the duration of the engagement; within ninety days of an engagement ending we delete it, keeping only what Spanish tax and commercial law requires us to retain, such as invoices and contract records, for up to six years.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the right to access your data, correct it, delete it, restrict or object to its processing, and receive a portable copy. To exercise any of these, email us at justin@motaxmedia.com. You also have the right to complain to Spain's data protection authority, the Agencia Española de Protección de Datos (AEPD).

Security

We use access controls and reputable infrastructure to protect the data we hold, and we limit access to the people who need it to do the work. Access to client accounts is read-only wherever possible.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the service evolves. When we do, we will change the date at the top, and for material changes we will let active clients know.
